Today is a day off and the weather is great. I decided to take a break and have a cup of coffee at the Ba-Li Riverside. I chose "Floral God Coffee," which is located right by the riverbank. It feels like a well-established café with a cozy atmosphere, reminiscent of the coffee shops from my childhood. It brings back some nostalgic memories.
I ordered an ice cream pancake, a hot vanilla latte, and a strawberry yogurt smoothie today. The ice cream pancake was absolutely amazing! It had two scoops of ice cream, one vanilla and one chocolate, with a delightful creamy and sweet taste. And here's the highlight—the whipped cream was incredibly delicious! I was pleasantly surprised because I'm not usually a fan of whipped cream. But when combined with the pancake, it tasted heavenly. I devoured it in no time, dipping the pancake in the whipped cream. It completely changed my usual behavior!
One great thing about this café is that even though it's a riverside restaurant with a scenic view, the prices are reasonable. The ice cream pancake was just a little over 200 dollars, and both drinks were around 100 dollars each. It's not like many other scenic restaurants that tend to be expensive. I think it's fantastic. Moreover, the staff was very friendly, and we sat indoors with a view of the Tamsui River, which was very comfortable.
