昨晚我去了我心愛的餐廳——老王記♥。

但出乎意料的是,一進門就被告知菜單有所調整,他們已經停止供應我每次必點的小籠包,只剩下蒸餃可供選擇。
最終,我點了一籠蒸餃、韭菜水餃、高麗菜水餃🥟、酸辣湯和一些小菜。

他們家的蒸餃皮彈性十足,內餡多汁燙口,使用高麗菜鮮肉餡,再搭配上辣油和烏醋,即使被燙到也忍不住要趁熱吃😂。

另外,韭菜水餃也出乎意料地美味。由於韭菜味道濃烈,所以我通常不太點韭菜水餃,因為吃完後會有強烈的韭菜氣味🤣。
但是他們家的韭菜水餃真的很好吃,外皮彈性十足,不會煮得太久,內餡剛好,既沒有豬肉的腥味,也沒有過度辛香料的刺激感,味道非常適中。

小菜的煙燻豬頭皮加紅油辣椒蠻香的,不會很鹹我覺得是最加分的一點。

相對而言,高麗菜水餃的內餡和蒸餃差不多,沒有像韭菜水餃那樣令人驚艷,但同樣也很美味。

至於酸辣湯,一定要再加兩圈烏醋,它又酸又辣,儘管天氣漸熱,但喝湯並流下滿頭大汗的暢快感,我還是非常享受的。(我就是個熱湯愛好者)

結完賬走出來時,看到了外面貼的告示,上面說由於人手不足,他們調整了菜單,並且從6月1日開始停止內用。但奇怪的是,昨天是6月5日,他們卻仍然提供內用服務,而且還客滿了。所以我對之後的情況並不太清楚,但希望他們能盡快恢復正常的人力配置,並且快點重新供應小籠包❤️。

I went to my favorite restaurant, Lao Wang Ji, last night ♥

To my surprise, when I entered, I was informed that the menu had been adjusted, and my usual order of xiaolongbao was no longer available, only steamed dumplings remained. In the end, I ordered a basket of steamed dumplings, chive dumplings, and cabbage dumplings🥟, along with hot and sour soup and some side dishes.
The steamed dumplings at Lao Wang Ji have elastic skin and juicy, piping hot fillings. They are filled with a mixture of cabbage and fresh meat, and when paired with spicy oil and black vinegar, they are irresistible even though they're hot 😂.
Surprisingly, the chive dumplings were also delicious. Usually, I tend to order fewer chive dumplings because the flavor of chives can be quite strong, and they can leave a strong smell after eating 🤣. However, the chive dumplings at Lao Wang Ji were really tasty. The skin had a good elasticity, not overcooked, and the filling was just right. It didn't have any unpleasant pork odor or an overpowering taste of spices. It was perfectly balanced.
Compared to the chive dumplings, the cabbage dumplings had a similar taste to the steamed dumplings, so they weren't as surprising, but they were still delicious.
For the hot and sour soup, I made sure to add two extra rounds of black vinegar. It was both sour and hot. Even though the weather is getting warmer, I still enjoyed the refreshing feeling of drinking the soup and breaking into a sweat! (I'm a fan of hot soups).

 

After paying the bill and stepping outside, I saw a notice posted outside the restaurant. It mentioned that due to a shortage of staff, they had adjusted their menu, and starting from June 1st, dine-in service was discontinued. However, I'm a bit confused because when I went there yesterday, it was already June 5th, and they were still allowing dine-in service, and the place was full. So, I'm not sure what will happen in the future, but I hope their staffing situation improves soon, and they resume serving xiaolongbao as well.
